Akay Centric’s Music Is Reaching For The Sky

For a decade and counting, the artiste Akay Centric has gone through the rigors of perfecting his unique sound and shared studio booth with some of the iconic names in the Nigerian music industry like Runtown and Patoranking featured on some of his songs. With an EP titled Ignition now credited to his name, he’s reaching for the sky. Shuttling Nigeria, America, and the rest of the world, Akinola Olumuyiwa Oshodi alias Akay Centric’s sound is making waves.

To be honest, my journey into the music industry has been astounding. Being able to share my music with the world is a blessing.

I couldn’t have asked for more from God. Although very challenging, I will not trade the experience for anything. In 2010, I recorded my debut single titled Addicted featuring Ice Prince. That same year, I recorded another single with Darey. In 2017, I released my official music video for the song Mamma mia.

I did premier another video for the track titled Wait produced by Del B. As well as, Eyes On You that featured Patoranking. In early 2020, I released my 5-track EP called Ignition. With songs like Love You Till The End, Obianuju featuring Larzzy, Body and, Soul, Come Closer, and Badness.

It’s a marvelous body of work. ‘Body and Soul’ is my most favorite in it. It allowed me to express my artistry. French-based Bustano produced the track. Over the years, I have experimented with my sound. My music is Afro-pop with an undertone of RnB. Right now, I’m sharing that sound with the rest of the world. I’m reaching for the sky.
