DARA BANJO DISCOVERED AND EMBRACED THE MODEL IN HER
I always thought I was ugly ever since I was little
Being disillusioned by circumstances around is the major killer of dreams in our society. One of the most disturbing things about life is the fact that most people are hustling endlessly running around in circles all because they can’t figure out who they truly are and where their place is in life. Until we find time to uncover who we are and embrace who we aspire to become, until then, it will be hard to live life to its fullest. Although it took a while for Dara Banjo to unearth the model in her but she did. Now, she’s on the path to achieve greater things.
“I’m 18 years old, born December 3rd, I’m the 3rd of 5 children, and I was born in Delta state, Warri and schooled mostly here in Lagos. Modeling is one of the many thing that interest me, seeing pretty girls in dresses, boys looking more handsome than usual, being all creative, being used to tell a story, and meeting amazing people, moving around the world. I always thought I was ugly ever since I was little, because my folks around me use to jokingly says that to me as a form of irony to make me laugh.
I took it in and started behaving like a boy, being not sexy and dressing up like a guy. Well it is comfortable won’t lie about that. On and on it went like that till a friend of mine @uto_rosman started modeling. You can say she inspired me, I saw her pictures, she was like a goddess in them, then I commented and said “you look beautiful I wish I was pretty” and she said “The day you look in the mirror more, you will know if you are or not”
To cut the story short, I knew my worth, I knew I was beautiful, I knew I could do it. The answer is in the Mirror

My first modeling project was with a friend who was a photographer @thetobiloke creating *We are made of black* I was so scared but nailed it. Then another photographer @mydadsboss wanted to use my hair which was gold for a shoot which worked out pretty awesome, then worked with a lot of makeup artist like @faaribysisiope, @essential_glam , @fisolami, @orangemakeovers etc and with photographers like @amicreative @rebeccanwose @photographercharlie @dnls_lens etc.
I always wanted to be in something so big, I always wanted to be an
MTN Ambassador. My Goal is to be the best, not just the best in modeling alone but making little children know their worth from their young age; Also, I will love to have a charity organization, meeting little children’s needs which I will love to call @smilewithdara” – Dara Banjo
