Ella Mai “Boo’d Up” and “Trip” On Her ‘SNL’ Debut

2018 definitely had Ella Mai engraved all over. Since dropping her breakout single “Boo’d Up” back in February, the U.K.-born singer and has joined Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour, received a number of notable co-signs, garnered multiple award nominations, and released her self-titled debut studio album in mid-October. Ella continued her winning streak this weekend, when she served as the Saturday Night Live musical guest musical guest.

The newest episode SNL marked Ella’s first-ever SNL appearance. And, we have to say, it was a solid debut. The 24-year-old kicked things off with a performance of “Boo’d Up.” She then returned to the stage to perform “Trip.”
