FOSTER EBAYY’S SINGLE ‘BAD MAN’ IS A CLASSIC PIECE. THIS LAD IS THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Without any hyperbole, there’s something about this artiste’s song, vocal dexterity and delivery that depicts stardom. It’s a sad reality that if we remove the flimsy nature of #naija trends from most songs, only handful of today’s artistes can churn out sound that can truly stand the test of time. Most of the #pangolo music out there now has an expiry date to it. Thank God we have the likes of 2face, Wizzy, Tiwa among others and now Foster Ebayy to the rescue.

Listening to Foster’s first official Single “Bad Man” released on the 25th of July 2018, you will not only appreciate the rhythm but will be held spellbound by its vibe. This song will stand side by side any song in #Hot 100 Africa today. Produced by Youngnashley and Grammy Winning Producer Anashe (Brian Soko) who have produced for the likes of Beyoncé and Lil Wayne; this song is a masterpiece and a collector’s item.

Christened Anslem Ibe and hail from Imo state, Foster Ebayy is a talented singer who doubles as a songwriter, producer and sound engineer.

His love for music started at an early age of 12 while listening to the
likes of Eminem and Lil Wayne. But his own sound as artiste was influenced listening to artistes like Jhené Aiko, Alina Baraz, Chris Brown, Maleek berry and Tekno.

Unlike, some artists who didn’t get to discover their talent early enough;
Foster learned how to produce on his own at age 15. His love for music triggered his desire to know everything about music production. This also motivated him to start mixing his own music and making his beats in a corner in his room. And since he made his entry into the music scene in 2015, his versatility has caught the attention of many onlookers. ‘I aim to use my music not just to entertain but to create awareness of interpersonal violence and abuse prevention’ – he was once quoted

His debut EP ‘YY vs. Everyone’ released on digital space on the 21st of June 2018 features both international and Local artistes. It’s a well-received body of work with over 30,000 streams in less than 2 weeks. The EP features award winning Cindy Munyavi, Zimbabwe’s all-time highest-selling digital artist, artist and producer C-Kay who is signed to Chocolate City and a host of others. With a sound that’s a mash up of Afro-pop and Rnb, there’s no doubt that Foster Ebayy is one of the future of the Nigerian music industry.
