HI-10 MUSIC GETS ONE HIGH ON GOOD VIBE
I think there’s something in my DNA that is rooted in eastern Nigerian
culture. Maybe if I dig really deep I will understand why every genre of
music, especially those with influences of high-life just sounds fantastic
to my hearing. Could it be the sound from the native music instruments, the
tone in the Igbo language or maybe it’s the combination of both? Whatever
it’s, the rhythm feels so good. If you think the likes of Wizboy, Phyno and
Flavour have serenaded you enough, then you need listen to Arochi
Nkwachukwu Joel, better known in the industry as HI-10. This lad is diamond in the rough.
With two singles titled ‘I Gat You’ and ‘24/7’, everything about this
artiste reads success. Listening to the song ‘I Gat You’, it’s so soulful,
relatable and danceable, it feels like there could be nothing better but I
was wrong. By the time ‘24/7’ begins to play, the nostalgic mellow old
school traditional highlife vibe is a rhythmic masterpiece. The sound is
intervolving and sequenced effortlessly. The vocals are nothing short of
exceptional. HI-10’s music gets one high on good vibe.
A native of Ishiagu, Ivo LGA in Ebonyi state, HI-10 was born and grew up in
Umuahia North LGA, Abia State. He started his music career in 2012 at
Soundberg music factory. In the last 2 years, his talent and music
direction has been developed by BLUE LAKE MEDIA who later signed him to the
label. His music journey is nothing short of a miracle. The future is
looking bright; sooner than later, he’s going to become the new king of
urban highlife music.
