The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards is set to go down August 20, 2018, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City and Jennifer Lopez will be taking home the biggest award of the night. The legendary singer will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The announcement also revealed Jennifer Lopez will perform for the first time at the VMAs in 17 years.

“Growing up on MTV and watching all my idols get this award, to be the recipient this year is, I can’t believe it. I’m so excited,” Lopez said during the announcement of her honoring.
