When you hear her speak on radio, you will understand why she’s
highly rated as one of the biggest prospects in the radio
broadcasting industry now in Benin. Her smile and the twinkle in her eyes
make you feel like you have known her all your entire life, underscoring
why she’s so appealing and highly sought after.

“My name is Joyce Onyinye Chukwuka, born on the 26th of May in the ancient
city of Benin. I’m a TV presenter and On Air Personality with Silverbird
Communications Benin (STV and Rhythm 93.7 FM Benin). I currently handle the
afternoon drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM Benin, a show which cuts across hip-hop,
relationship, politics, entertainment, etc. I created a specific segment
called #TheJoycePlaylist. This is a platform to promote music from
underground artistes and their sound here in the south; I also co-host
dance party and for TV, Top Ten Club Hits with DJ DARMIX.

“I’ve been described as super bubbly and excited on the radio by
my listeners and a lowkey drama queen by my friends. My favourite thing
to do asides reading is discovering new music especially by artistes
who are storytellers. A good song with an awesome story is just as good
as a movie to me. All I need are my earphones, a dark room and
my imagination. I’m not sure if it counts but my favourite colour is
black and if you intend to kidnap me I advise you lure me with food
and Hollandia… Mostly Hollandia.

“Asides TV, radio and hosting, in my spare time I write short stories, I
blog and indulge in a bit of brand promotion still. In the future I intend
to do a lot more TV, broadcast to a larger audience, content
creation (which I already do but on a larger scale) and production.”
