conversation about the broadcasting sector and the Nigerian music industry;
you might end up being spoon fed with her vast knowledge and objectively
balanced opinions. She doesn’t engage in empty rhetoric and is never afraid
of those quarters in the industry feeding from the post-truth new world.
She’s so respected and says things the way they are.  Monica Aigbe
popularly known as ‘Monique the Radio Teaser’ is one of the most thorough
broadcasters in this country. She’s holding her radio audience spellbound
on Vibes 97.3FM in Benin. This lady is a talking encyclopedia.

She’s presently the acting General Manager of Vibes 97.3FM in Benin. For
two years at a stretch Monique served as one of the judges at the MTN
Project Fame West Africa auditions in Benin in the year 2013 season 7 and
2014 season 8. This motivational speaker, voiceover specialist, actress and
compere has been in the business close to a decade. Once a student of the
University of Benin, she graduated from the Theatre Arts department.

According to her, ‘My broadcasting career started back in secondary school,

hosting red carpets and events. Officially, broadcasting started for me at
Silverbird Rhythm 93.7 Benin in 2008, where I worked till 2012. I anchored
a couple of popular programs like the midday and night shows. That’s where
I got the name *RadioTeaser*’ – Monique.

In October 2012 she moved on to Vibes 97.3FM Benin where she is till date.
She first served as the Head of Programs but is presently the Acting
General Manager. She has interviewed every entertainers that worth their
salt across the music and movie industry. This indigene of Edo State is a
true daughter of the soil who has been consistent in the game and is now
doing all she can to take the Bini culture to the next level through her
on-air radio program called Culture and Heritage which majors on all we
need to know about Benin history.
