Understanding her love for modeling is like understanding love for oneself. She does not need too much explanation to convince anyone. Come rain or shine, her passion for the art of walking the ramp and tutoring the next generation that will dominate runways, fashion editorials and billboard is contagious.
Standing 5’9, Waist : 26, Bust : 31, Hips : 34, Solomon Omawumi Deborah, known in her circle as Debi Wumi speaks of modelling like a child speaks of chocolates and candies – her adoration for the profession is absolute. This 21years old, final year student of Ekiti State University studying Accounting has so much to offer. She’s always ready to talk the industry.
“I’m a model, makeup artist and an event planner (there are still so many things I can do, lol). – I’m a fun loving person, quiet and could be reserved. I love listening to music, dancing, cooking and I love Purple. I am the first child and only daughter with 3 brothers and a son- I’m a single mom.
While Growing up, I was always getting different compliments and comments concerning my body and stature, some would appreciate my tall slim body and others will laugh at how thin and long my legs are, this would get to me and I was always worried about how I looked.
Later on, I began to understand my body; I learnt that I have to appreciate my body, my look before anybody else does. I learnt to love myself more and the passion for modeling grew. Modeling for me, is a platform for Expression. I Model to express myself, to convey messages of unspoken words. I believe I can touch lives, tell stories, impact change with what I do. Modeling is my Lifestyle!
I started modeling 2016, my junior brother @nimmaks_gallery just started photography then and we were always taking shots, trying to learn the process and now he is my official Photographer. My first professional shoot was with SD Visuals (@joshwestofficial). It was collaboration with a Designer (@dvkclothing) in Ado Ekiti.
I had a clear understanding of what kind of model I wanted to be. Since then I have been working as a Freelance model. I’ve worked with creative and very good Photographers. I’ve walked on runway, train and Groom Aspiring Models.
look forward to working as a commercial model or be an ambassador for brands soon. I want to be able to impact knowledge needed to understand the modeling world. I want to be able to speak without using words and people will still get the message.
