Oyinkansola Releases New Song – ‘This Year’

After a brief hiatus from the music scene, folklore-Pop musician ‘Oyinkansola‘ is out with a new song titled ‘This Year’. With the release of ‘This Year’, arguably, she’s the first Nigerian artiste to drop a new song in 2019.

Oyinkansola is a seasoned singer/ songwriter who has been in the business for close to a decade. She has enjoyed chart success with ‘Hands Up” featuring GT Da Guitarman, ‘Love Wan Tin Tin‘ featuring Brymo and ‘I Cry.‘ She also worked with and featured on Falz the Bahdguy’s album.

This great vibe is definitely a great song to usher you into the new year with hope and joy. Its clanking instrumentals and Oyinkansola’s sharp, beautiful, unique chanting will leave you lost in dreamy thoughts.

Mostly in Yoruba dialect, the song can be summed up as a prayer for a great year ahead. Some of it translates as “This is your year. God is big. He said this year, you’ll have answers to your prayers. Business will grow. You’ll build houses.
