The notion that there’s no party without a hype man is no longer a myth. Hype men in the Nigerian industry have built a community where they call the shots. Although many of them are in the race for prominence, only a few like Shody standout. He’s not your average hype man – he’s a rare breed. When the world returns to any form of normalcy, Shody The Turn-up King will be among the entertainers that will dominate the scene.

Shody is a true entertainer. My energy and crowd control is second to none. My ability to read the crowd and deliver excitement makes me exceptional. A lot of people are shocked at the fact that I am a big tall guy that dances so well and moves his body like a tiny guy. Also, my background as a voice-over artist gives me an edge. The minute you hear my voice, you know it’s me. I take my craft very seriously. I am very passionate about what I do.
