SINO IS ONE OF THE HARDEST WORKING DANCERS IN AFRICA
When my photographer friend called me to meet up with her, at first glance her beauty threatened to cloud my brain such that I didn’t have much of a breathing space to begin to process the fact that this diva is one of the most hardworking ladies on the planet. Her profile as a dancer and choreographer is scary. When I received it, reading through all she had achieved in a short while was intimidating. She was a dance instructor for three years at Corenergy Dance Centre, Johannesburg (both competitive & social classes). In 2013, she choreographed at the Channel O African Music Video Awards performance of Cassper Nyovest/Okmalumkoolkat, & AKA/Da Les medley. She was also part of the choreographers for Olamide, Patoranking/Tiwa Savage, Dream Team/Anatii/DJ Dimplez & the finale with Emmy G/Phyno/ABCrazy at the 2014 Channel O music awards. She was the best choreographer at Johannesburg Theatre’s ‘Soul Dancer’ choreography competition, 2010.
She also choreographed at the 2015 MTV African Music Video Awards – Durban, choreographer of Patoranking’s Live & Sold-Out ‘Born2Win’ Concert in South Africa 2015 and was Khuli Chana’s choreographer for the annual Maftown Heights Hip-hop Festival 2015.
She was the two time title holder (2009, 2010) of Hip-Hop Dance SA Annual Championships & World Championship. She was the South African representative at the Hip-Hop International’s World Dance Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and was credited to be among the 6 finalists in 2009 & 2010 out of the 54 countries. Now you understand why I say this lady is a powerhouse and it was hard catching up with all she had achieved. This South African sister has performed on some of her countries biggest stages. Her experience as a ‘street’ dancer and professionally trained hip-hop, contemporary, jazz and African dancer gives her a massive edge over her colleagues. To make things scarier, she’s also an aspiring musician. If one adds up all her qualities together, you will agree with me that she’s the most complete package in the entertainment and art industry. It’s also worthy of note that she’s the choreographer, creative director, dancer and ambassador for AMPED AFRICA established by Anthony Morgan and created to educate and equip the youths on different jobs in the entertainment industry. She was the choreographer for Alikiba ft MI Abaga and was also the dancer on both McDonalds commercial and Virgin Mobile commercial.
