“My name is Stella Tsenyen, I’m the first born of my family. I was born on the 10th of October. I hail from Plateau state, Shendam local government. I’m a student of Adonai University Calavi and I am in my final year. I’m a model, a fashion and beauty influencer. I’m into the fashion business where I sell shoes and handbags basically and soon enough I’ll start up my clothing line.
I’m from a very small Family, I have just one sibling and both parent are alive, my dad is a lawyer and a politician while my mum is an immigration officer and a networker. Growing up as a child was a bit challenging but I’ve always know myself to be a strong girl and I overcame every bit of it.
At a very young age I always wanted to look beautiful and fashionable, I also loved taking pictures. At the age of ten, my mum stopped buying cloths for me because she ended up getting cloths I didn’t like, so most times when shopping she takes me along to pick what I want for myself; after a period of time my mum and dad started giving me money to buy my cloths myself and that’s how I started shopping myself.
Wherever I go as little as I was, I was always complimented about my looks, my height, eyes and fashion sense. I had people telling me to go into modeling; I started wondering what it was and decided to do a research on it and immediately I was interested and I started developing the passion for it. When I got to SS3 I told my mum about the whole thing and she wasn’t in support at all but I didn’t mind her opinion and still went ahead to do what I was interested in.
Along the way, I got scared to get signed in any agency because of what happens in the industry and I decided that I would go on this journey alone without the help of any modeling agency and I started developing myself and that’s how I got here. I’m not where I want to be yet and I believe I will get there soon. The journey so far has been great and fun because it’s what I love to do. What I intend to do is to become a very well known and popular model in Africa and so as well, a prominent fashion brand owner” – Stella
