According to the police report, Richard Joseph McEwan – the 26year-old man who is facing charges for breaking into Taylor Swift’s Massachusetts home explains why he took off his shoes at the door before entering the house.

“I was always taught that when you go into someone’s home, you have to take your shoes off”

He was charged with “breaking into a home without the owner’s consent” and “willful trespassing.” McEwan was released on a $5,000 bail.

According to a police report, obtained, McEwan drove from New Jersey to Rhode Island earlier in the day. He allegedly broke a glass door on the side of the home to gain entry.
