Toyosi Olosunde Of Splash 105.5FM – An Aladdin’s cave Of Talent

Although she’s unassuming, yet, Toyosi Olosunde of Splash 105.5FM is one of the brightest emerging young radio broadcasters in the industry. But she’s also much more than meets the eye. The OAP-cum event host and an aspiring musician is an Aladdin’s cave of talent – they are so many things to treasure in her. Misstoyorsee, as she’s called on the radio, is dedicated and always ready to learn and be better. In the coming months, all things equal, she will become a force to reckoned with in the broadcasting industry.

My journey into broadcasting started at an early age – it was during my first year at the University. It was something I have been passionate about since I was a little child. I remember standing in front of a mirror, rehearsing reading the news.

One name I have looked up to in the broadcast media is Ronke Giwa. Listening to her speak also helped me improve on myself. Professionally, I started broadcasting in 2014 at Splash 105.5FM Ibadan.

I read the news and also anchor a teenage show named Say It Loud, 3:30  – 4 PM Fridays. I also have a segment called Quick Fix Tips on one of our breakfast shows. The feedbacks on those shows are inspiring.

Outside broadcasting, I love singing. I have recorded a couple of songs. I am working on more. The time is coming when the world will hear me sing. No matter the mood I’m in, singing keeps me going. Likewise is broadcasting“. – Toyosi
