50 Cent Clapped back At Ebro Darden Over Ban From Hot 97
50 Cent is always ready to respond to anything that he perceives doesn’t go well with his brand. Never one to shy away from a confrontation, He’s now taking aim at famed Hot 97 host Ebro Darden. Because of Mr. Jackson’s turbulent history at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert series, he’s not welcome to the radio station or its high-profile events.
On Monday (Oct. 8), 50’s name came up in a conversation Ebro had with his co-hosts about whether or not an unpredictable type of person should be booked for certain events. The topic came up as they were discussing the recent fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov after the former’s loss.
Ebro used the Queens rapper as an example by mentioning the different incidents that have taken place in the past. At 2004’s Summer Jam, 50 caused a scene by throwing a chair. Then ten years later at the annual festival, the “Many Men” artist had rapper SlowBucks chain taken on stage.
Subsequently, the Power show creator got wind of the conversation, and in true 50 Cent fashion, threatened the Hot 97 host on Twitter. “Ebro ls now ln need of security and is currently band from NY city nightlife. He will be punched in the face shortly. LOL,” he wrote, XXL reports. The tweet has since been deleted, but he continued to prove his case against Darden.
