It’s sickening to be in this era in the music industry where folks with double standard on social media are constantly using the tag ‘promiscuity’ to litigate all females especially video models contributing their artistic impetus for the greater appeal of the sector. It’s ironic that those people who live in the glass house are throwing stones; but let he or she who is truly without sin among you, come out to cast the stone. I guess most will have a rethink but still they love attention, so they will talk. You all know life is a bitch – what goes around comes around. Time is ticking.

Despite the hypocrisy witness with the huge number of pretenders trying cases from the court of public opinion to gain unfair traction and vent out their deep rooted personal frustrations, in my own little way, even though I understand the fact that the modern day lifestyle habits are contributing to the reasons why most sometimes operate on the fringes sexual desires, but still, I salute the courage of every girl walking their way up in this new world filled with folks trying to take advantage of their hustle, tear them down and still call them names.

One of the new generation models putting in the shift to become a top notch commercial and video model is Alice Lawal. Standing 5’8, with Waist : 25, Hips – 35  and Bust : 32, she’s been through a lot to come this far in life and she’s laser focus on achieving her goals no matter the number of naysayers. ‘My full name are Lawal Oluwaseun Alice, I’m 22 years and born and breed in Abeokuta Ogun state, I’m the 8th and last child of my Mum, can’t remember my number in my fathers side lol guess you should know why….

My passion for modeling grew when I was in SS2, then I became a lover of music and I started watching music videos from my friends phone in school cause my family is religious, so listening to hip-hop and watching the videos is not allowed, I’m just the only social girl among my family, y’all should know the difficulty I faced to be here, growing up in a family where they want you to be a scientist and you end up being a music lover and a model, yeah I always
wanted to be in a music video from the day I watched my friends sister in
‘Omo To Shan‘ video and some other videos like that…

I started officially from searching for modeling group on Facebook then, and Google helped me with some searches, and then I crossed path with one modeling agency and I had my first photo-shoot with them. During that period, I was really struggling but I’m so determined, my agency picked interest in me and they sent me to go for a casting one day lol, I dressed up and got to the casting and intimidation from other models would not make me mix. I wasn’t
dressed well, I was looking haggard lol…. But then it’s just a lesson, I
learnt some things and I made sure I put it into action.

I started working on my looks and my dressing when going to casting, to cut the long story short, I moved from facebook to Whatsapp group and from there my eyes started opened to some thing I don’t know about modeling. If I hear a new thing, I’d go to Google for help; I don’t ask people for help to avoid being ridiculed… Fast forward to a casting I got from whatsapp group that took me to Kelechi Amadi -Obi studio; I got there and it was the brother in charge
but he told me I didn’t fit in for the brief but he picked me up and signed me, there I got to meet a photographer who liked my look and he helped me grow too.

Growing in the industry is so hard when you don’t have sponsor. Sometimes I feel like giving up and then I have a friend we started the journey together, she’s my only motivator and vice versa.. To God be the glory, we are here and still working hard to be the talk of the town, to be a world star model and vixen just as my role model is flourishing, don’t ask me who she is cause y’all know the one and only Number 1 Africa bad girl lol….
