Beatrice Kelvin is the real deal
“Apart from modeling what I love doing is sketching. I love creativity and I am presently working on some collections, get ready for me this 2017” – Beatrice Kelvin
In my quest for stories across every corner of the entertainment industry, moving from one recording studio to photo studio, I have met several young people that have inspired me along the way. As they share their vision and story with me, they all have something in common: Their desire to strive to accomplish their various dreams and make ends meet is contagious. As one aspires to become a successful artiste, others chase achievements in the fashion, movie and modeling industry. Beatrice Kelvin is one of the models I met on my journey and her desire to become successful is admirable.
Kindly tell us all about you and how you got into modeling?
I am 22 years old and a student of Yabatech College of Technology where I study Science Laboratory Technology; presently in my 2nd year. I am also a fashion designer and own a brand named Triss Clothings. I’m from a family of 5 – 2 girls and 3 boys and I’m the 3rd and also the first daughter. I love swimming, traveling, watching movies and reading.
Your Journey
The journey ‘smile’ My journey so far as a model has been an adventurous one. It’s like transforming dreams into reality. I started modeling in November 2014 till date and the journey has been awesome. I have been a runway model and also a vixen; I have had the privilege to work with a lot of designers, makeup artists, stylists and photographers. I have done a lot of runways like: African Fashion Week Nigeria, Miss Kanekalon 2015, Main Festival 2016, DBN 2016, Fadan 2015, Fame 2014, etc. I have also worked with amazing photographers like Trans4maztography, Ptrimnell, New Age Photography, Jameswrnphotography, It’s Damii, De’ Hens Visual, etc., wonderful makeup artists like House of Aphrodity, Uber Glow, Sarah, etc., and I have also done commercial shoots for Glo Nigeria, Spice TV, Pogmas (online shopping) and Veleta wine.
What project have you worked on and what should we expect from you in the nearest future?
Apart from modeling what I love doing is sketching. I love creativity and I am presently working on some collections, get ready for me this 2017. In few years from now expect the best from me, few years from now I want to be a big time employer of labour; a reputable fashion designer, run an NGO where I can groom young ladies to stand out in the society. I am presently working on being an international model. Though I started off as a runway model. There are other areas I wish to explore and with God on my side I know I will meet with the right people to connect me. The industry is booming as more entrepreneurs are going into the business of fashion designing. More people are interested in our local designs, I see the industry as an emerging one that can only get better as more sponsors are needed to fast track the growth of the industry and not forgetting government support in ensuring that there’s an enabling environment for investment to come in. What makes me happy is being on the runway, like having the entire spotlight on you. That feeling is amazing!
