BEWARE, A DAMN KRANE IS FALLING….
Imagine a construction crane falling on a building and both come crashing down. The impact would be massive and the aftermath cannot be ascertained. This can also be said of the alleged credit card theft issue involving Dammy Krane. The negative impact on the Nigerian music industry and it entertainers might be massive.
There’s no more dispute about whether or not it is true, concerning the widespread news of Dammy Krane’s arrest in Miami over allegations of credit card fraud and forgery. Although this brouhaha took a lot of industry faithful by surprise, making sense of it all and coming to its realism was a certainty. The question now is: How did he come to this? How did these all happen?
There are two different opinions right now on the streets. One is that, the guy he was arrested alongside is a promoter of the show Dammy was supposed to be on and he was the one that was using the card. On other hand, Tapjets publicly put out a post on their Instagram handle stating, “@dammykraneofficial booked @tapjets flight using stolen credit card numbers. Our policy is to prosecute to the fullest extent.” Whichever side of the story is correct, everything screams PROBLEM!
As we await how this plays out, I would like to put in an advice for the industry: Beware, a Damn Krane is falling down and its impact might be consequential for every Nigerian entertainer travelling out of the shores to do business. Should the authorities indirectly put a trail on them, maybe all of Dammy Krane’s contemporaries flaunting cash and jewelries on social media will have a rethink. Maybe they will also reconsider whom they do businesses with. As this conversation is ongoing, maybe we could take a minute to say a prayer for Dammy Krane; it might go a long way to help.
