The Big Brother season 6 will start July 24. Now that the dust has settled on the Big Brother Reunion show, we witness Tolanibaj, Prince, and Dorathy exhibited their #situationship. We also saw Lucy and Kaisha’s fight on live TV. But the highlight has to be the Dorathy / Brighto and Ka3na / Praise tale of shame. Can we revisit the Blow Job, five-seconds sex, and maybe the swollen dick revelation?

For the intrigues, suspense, and Topsy-turvy, Big Brother Naija season 5 aired in 2020 was one of the most entertaining shows. There is no doubt about that. Likewise, the Big Brother reunion production aired in June 2021 was mind-blowing. Dorathy, Brighto, Ka3na and Praise’s confession trended on social media because it is like a tale of shame. The piece of shocking news traveled fast. That episode of the reunion show aired on June 22 feels like watching low-budget sex workers ranting. Alarming! We wanted a show, and they delivered. Kudos.

We can agree that all the housemates are adults who are of age to be sexually involved. But the way some of them normalize talking about the promiscuous activities they were involved with inside the Big Brother house was shocking. On a prime-time NETWORK, hearing Dorathy reveals she gave Brighto Blow Job, and she feels anger the next morning because he did not say a word in appreciation to her was shocking. Without feeling holier-than-thou, it’s hard to normalize what she said. In that regard, Brighto’s reply to why he did not say a word to her in the morning was the funniest part. He said, “What does she want me to say”? He also alluded in an unverified tweet that he had a swollen dick the next morning after she gave him BJ.

The Ka3na bit was also stunning. Does she have the right to have sex with Praise inside the Big Brother House? Yes, she does. But to sex-shame Praise by revealing he could only be active for five-seconds while they both had sex, such confession on TV caught everyone unaware. For those scratching their heads asking the questions of morality or why she’s trying to humiliate the guy, I will not join that conversation. I will be on the other side of the wall with the nagging question. Is this the new normal of how we will openly be discussing our sex misdemeanor in public space? Kudos to Big Brother because the reunion was entertaining. To the former housemates, don’t forget that the Internet doesn’t keep a secret. What everyone said on the show will forever be televised.
