Cardi B and Offset sued by a NYC Hotel
The joyful and colorful couple of weeks for Cardi and Offset seem to be ending with lawsuit. News of Offset being arrested took over early weekend headlines but there are more legal issues for him and his wife Cardi B as they are being sued for an incident that occurred earlier this year. The Hip-Hop couple was leaving an event when they were encountered by a man asking for an autograph. That man was allegedly beaten by the duo’s security and the two stars are being sued by the hotel.
The Blast reports The Mark Hotel is looking to have Cardi and Offset take responsibility for the lawsuit of the one allegedly assaulted, Giovanni Arnold, who originally filed a suit against the two rappers and the hotel. The Mark Hotel believes they do not have any liability for the incident and that it all relies on Cardi B and Offset.
“Any liability will be have been brought about and caused solely as a result of the fault, negligence, acts or omissions, want of care and/or breach of contract on the part of Belcalis Almanzar p/k/a Cardi B, Kiari Kendrell Cephus p/k/a Offset,” the Mark Hotel issued in a statement.
The news regarding the two has had highs and lows in the past couple of weeks. The two have been celebrating the arrival of their daughter Kulture but the aforementioned arrest of Offset for possession of a firearm will be another hurdle to cross.
