Emmanuel Overcomer – Carving A Niche As A Photographer
If photography is a story, everybody is going to tell his or her own uniquely. In my several years in journalism, I have met various photographers from their day one in the job. And because there’s always something about their signature Photo tone, texture and direction, most times, I know they will end up great. Emmanuel Okereke Victor, know by his photography name Emmanuel Overcomer, is one of the few I’m banking on to create magic in the coming months.
‘I am a creative photographer from Ebonyi State, born in Ibadan, Oyo state,
Nigeria. I started photography in August 2017, my first time handling a professional camera, (with very little or no experience of how to use it). I was surprisingly able to make a great photo, which helped fuel my already triggered interest for photography.
I came to love photography when I first got on #instagram. I followed a lot of photographers until one day I took a step to learn. Photography for me is a gift to man, its a beautiful way to showcase the world and the people in it. With photography anyone can be anything, beauty can be seen in the mundane, the seemingly less important can be brought to light.
Photography to me is more than a business, its a tool, its an art, its a world in a world, and that is why my aim is to create extra-ordinary art pieces with it. Yeah, I am sure that is a big task for a 20-year-old photographer but there’s more to me than meets the eyes’ – Emmanuel Overcomers
