Fast X Pushes Fast & Furious Franchise Past $7 billion
Deadline reports that the release of Fast X has helped boost the Fast & Furious franchise past $7 billion in global box office earnings. This puts the Fast & Furious series just behind the James Bond franchise, which sits at about $7.8 billion in worldwide gross. The milestone also makes Fast & Furious the No. 5 highest-earning film franchise of all time.
While Fast X didn’t perform as well at the box office as the previous film, F9, the movie still garnered a sizable amount in its opening weekend. Fast X opened to $67 million at the domestic box office but a whopping $319 million worldwide. At the time of writing, Fast X has made $348 million at the box office worldwide.
