IniorLindi’s Debut “Poison Ivy” EP Is Magical
IniorLindi’s groundbreaking entry into the Nigerian music Industry with a debut “Poison Ivy” EP is stunning. Like enjoying a seafood buffet on a yacht or Soul food on Sunday Afternoon, the EP as a music feast is captivating and enthralling. A model-cum-performing artist, listening to her song “Vybz”, her songwriting skill is top-notch, and her sound is eclectic. IniorLindi has put down a marker that she’s magical.
An Afro-fusion pop artist with an operatic undertone, her vocals are reminiscent of Ariana Grande, Tems, Ella Mai, Fave, The Weeknd, and Asa. Very Soulful like James Arthur and groovy like Rihanna, IniorLindi is a rare breed. She’s in a league of her own. As easy as a model walking the ramp, with her vocal prowess, her upward climb in the industry will be smooth sailing. Musically, she’s cut from a different cloth.
To score “Poison Ivy” EP will be easy-breezy. “Vybez” as an opening track is reminiscent of Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping songs. The harmonies associated with the track “Boogie” are unforgettable. Track 3, “Poison Ivy”, has the trappings of an award-winning Hollywood soundtrack. The soulfulness of “Baby Bird” as a closing track is soothing. “Poison Ivy” EP, released on 8 March 2023, is 9 out of 10. It’s an EP worth listening to. It’s refreshing.
Christened Lindiwe Edet, a native of Akwa Ibom, born in 2006, started modeling professionally at age 14, but her affinity with music started much earlier. She wrote her first song at the age of 6. Despite working with icons like Naomi Campbell at fashion shows, her music career is always dear to her heart. Now with “Poison Ivy” EP, which came in handy with a Jaysjivefilms-directed video for “Vybz”, IniorLindi is ready to ascend to the upper echelon of the Afrobeats dynasty.
