Jussie Smollett Indicted With SIX New Charges
The Jussie Smollett troubles are back in the news. The former Empire star has been indicted on six different charges related to the allegation he staged a hate-crime attack and bogusly reported the incident to the Chicago Police Department.
Special prosecutor Dan Webb, who was assigned the case by a Cook County judge after all charges were originally dropped in this case to continue investigating the possible hoax, filed 6 new charges against the actor.
Among the counts in the indictment, one for disorderly conduct, which is connected to the alleged false allegations he reported to the police. As of the time of this report, no warrant has been issued for his arrest at this point, but he has been ordered to be in court to face the new charges on February 24, 2020.
