Kim Kardashian & Kanye West In Huge Twitter Hack Promoting Bitcoin Scam
Alongside Barack Obama and Bill Gates, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just joined the growing list of famous celebrities who has been targeted in a massive Twitter hack urging followers to donate money in a giant Bitcom scam.
Earlier today, a huge number of Twitter accounts were hacked posting a similar message about giving ‘back to the community’ and sharing a Bitcoin wallet address for the place to donate.
The message told followers the famous person owning the Twitter account would double the amount they donated.
The massive hack included a huge group of high-profile Twitter accounts including Uber, Apple, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk.
“I’m feeling generous because of Covid-19,” read a now-deleted tweet from Elon Musk’s account. “I’ll double any BTC payment sent to my BTC address for the next hour. Good luck, and stay safe out there!” it concluded.
Following the massive breach, Twitter support issued a statement saying it is “aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter. We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly.”
In many of the messages, the famous accounts asked followers to send $1,000 in Bitcoin to a specific address and promised to double the amount ($,2000) in return.
