Kurntian, a.k.a Funky Alhaji, is one of the underground Afrobeats artists receiving rave reviews across the industry. His most recent song, titled ‘8‘, produced by Blackculture, and released on 30 September, is a testament to why he’s rated as one of the best young talents in the country. Listening to ‘8’, where he sang on minor and falsetto all through, positions him as a vocal powerhouse.

When asked about the song, ‘Kurntian, with real name is Keshinro Abdul Hazeez, said, “8 is about eight different women. And how each of them influenced my life. The names of the women mentioned in the song are just seven because we never speak about the 8th one. In my circle, we don’t speak of her name.” The song is so good.
