Manolospanky Praises Matthew Ohio and Ben Foster For His Growth
Across the Nigerian music industry, sadly, some top entertainers rarely give credit to those that gave them the platform to grow from the get-go. Their selective amnesia only allows them to cherry-pick and name-drop those they wish to be associated with now. But Patrick Osewingie Osagie alias Manolospanky is not one of those celebrities. As one of the most respected hype men in the Nigerian entertainment industry, despite his successes, he always gives credit to all the people that help him grow. According to him,
“Ben Foster, one of the icons of the hype man industry inspired me to chase a career as a hype man. With my career on the rise, I connected with Mathew Ohio – the exemplary show promoter to become the hype man for Industry Nite. That was the turning point that took me to eldorado. Despite previously standing in as hype man for artists like Naeto C, Sauce Kid, and Rayce, it was my Industry Nite performances that became the springboard. Now I’m among the best in the game.
It has been a great journey for me. The idea of quick money doesn’t apply in the hype man industry. There’s a need that one has to walk his or her way up gradually, and diligently. And on that path upward, don’t ever look down on anyone. One has to learn how to give credit to everyone that supports you” – Manolospanky
