Miriam Makeba Died Of Heart Attack Today In 2008 (RIP)
On this day, 9 November 2008, Miriam Makeba, nicknamed ‘Mama Africa’, the first African Woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Folk Recording in 1966, died of a heart attack during a 2008 concert in Italy. Renowned for ‘Pata Pata’, one of the greatest songs recorded by an African.
