Netflix Acquires Genevieve’s ‘Lionheart’ has It’s First Film From Nigeria
According to reports, Netflix has acquired the world rights to the Nigerian comedy, Lionheart. Written and directed by beloved Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, this marks Netflix’s first film from Nigeria.
Nnaji stars as Adaeze, a business-savvy woman who works alongside her father Chief Ernest Obiagu. However, when he takes ill and is forced to step down Adaeze is shocked to learn her father has left the company to be run by his eccentric and sometimes crass brother, Godswill.
