Netflix Pays $20 million To Acquire New Movie “Hit Man”
Netflix shells out $20 million to acquire Hit Man, Richard Linklater’s new movie starring Glen Powell. Linklater is the five-time Academy Award-nominated filmmaker behind Dazed and Confused, The Before trilogy, Boyhood, and other films dealing with themes of suburban culture and the passage of time. His latest film is Hit Man which stars Powell in the titular role alongside Adria Arjona. In addition to the Top Gun: Maverick and Morbius stars, the cast also includes Austin Amelio, Retta, and Molly Bernard.
Netflix hasn’t set a release date yet, though the film is expected to receive a limited theatrical release before hitting the streaming service.
