Nicki Minaj Is The First Woman With 100 Billboard Hot 100 Entries
Nicki Minaj deserves lot more respect for all she has done and continues to achieve in the music industry. Onika Tanya Maraj continues to break records on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The “Barbie Tingz” MC just made history as the first woman to boast 100 entries on the chart.
According to Billboard, “Minaj boasts 17 Hot 100 top 10s, the most among female rappers. She has hit a No. 2 high with ‘Anaconda’ in 2014 and most recently ranked in the top 10 as featured, with Murda Beatz, on 6ix9ine’s ‘FEFE,’ which reached No. 3 in August.” Her latest entry on the chart is on Tyga’s latest song “Dip,” which enters the chart this week at number 83.
Even more impressive, all of Minaj’s entries on. the coveted chart were made this decade. Her first entry was back in 2010, after she was a featured artist on “Knockout” by Young Money head honcho, Lil Wayne.
Nicki’s new chart feat makes her just one of five acts in the history of the charts to achieve they feat- male or female. Hip-hoppers are seen throughout the list of artists with the most Hot 100 entries. Drake has 191 in total, while Lil Wayne has 160, placing them at numbers two and three, respectively, behind the cast of the former show Glee. JAY-Z follows closely behind Minaj with 98 Hot 100 entries, and Kanye West boasts 93 entries.
