Nicki Minaj went on Twitter using words that suggest she might be retiring from the music industry but most of her fans seem not to care.

The “MEGATRON” rapper wrote, “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now.”

She added, “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me.”

One would think that many of Nicki’s fans would be upset over the news, but the rapper did not that reaction.

Instead, most responses either expressed joy for the star on being happy … while others suggested the retirement should have come earlier.

“if you are legitimately retiring, I commend you. I thank you for ALL that you have done for ME and the BARBZ! we will love you unconditionally forever. thank you for all of the amazing memories that we have all shared together,” a loyal fan wrote.

On the other end of the spectrum, one person tweeted, “About time, please literally don’t come back unless you’re dropping actual MUSIC.”

Others pointed out that Nicki has threatened to leave the music world before, only to return with new music.

One fan suggested she may be trolling everyone: “Ummm let me call my lawyer, cus I’m sure you signed a 6 album contract.”
