NYSHIRA BOATEMAA IS A PROUDLY GHANAIAN MODEL
“..As a model in this part of the country, one of
the challenges we have in terms of getting jobs is the issue of competing
with actors and actresses for commercials (jobs), which are supposed to be
done by models only. That said, the prospects are massive..” – Nyshira
When next you’re out and someone introduces himself or herself as a model, look them straight in the eyes, and then salute their courage. It takes a lot to
walk the runway, maintain a perfect shape, keep composure in front of a
camera and most importantly, be proud to call oneself a model in a clime
like Africa where most have the wrong perception about this profession. In
a conservative society as Ghana, Nyshira Boatemaa is flying the flag as one
the most ambitious model from Accra.
Born in Accra, Ghana on the 24th of March 1993, on a professional level,
her modeling career started out in 2017. Alongside being one of the most
sought out muses by the crème de la crème photographers within Accra
metropolis, she’s walked the runway at African Fashion Festival, African
Bikini Show, National Women Show, Mercedes Benz Fashion show, to mention a
few.
‘I have a strong passion for modeling. I intend to push myself as hard as
I can to reach greater heights. Maybe someday, I will walk the runway in
Paris. I have had several successes, as well as met stiff
competition in the industry. As a model in this part of the country, one of
the challenges we have in terms of getting jobs is the issue of competing
with actors and actresses for commercials (jobs), which are supposed to be
done by models only. That said, the prospects are massive!’ – Nyshir
