OKIEMUTE IS THE NEW ‘HOT’ IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

“It’s been a great journey so far doing what I love to do
and gradually transforming into a star for the world to see” – Okiemute

For those who have been fans of this lady’s music all these while, I say,
you have been lucky. For someone like me who just crashed into her sound, I
count myself really special because noticing how she wove her voice
together with unbelievable pitch and balance to produce great music is so
heartwarming. She’s now on my daily playlist replay.  Listening to songs
like ‘Kee Person’ and ‘Loyal,’ I can’t but ask myself, why haven’t I come in
contact with such a talent earlier? Well, better late than never, I’m now
her card-carrying fan.

Reviews say her five-track EP ‘PH610’ is one of the best bodies of work in
the industry today. Well, that shouldn’t be a surprise considering
production credits reads the names of great music producers like
Masterkraft, Gospel on da beat, Suspect and Kezyklef. Her self-name ‘Okiemute Thank You Concert’ on the 18th of November 2017, also receive applause from all those who attended. Her performance was rated refreshing. Born November 16, 1990, she is credited
as being a fantastic vocalist, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies from
University of Port Harcourt (2013 Alumni).

Born and raised in Warri, Delta State, she performed in various singing and
dancing competitions as a child and rose to fame in 2016 as the winner of
Project Fame West Africa, Season 9. Managed by her passion and dedication,
she’s becoming one of the industry best female artistes in the country. She
was once quoted saying ,“As a third year student in my school days, I was in
a live band in Port Harcourt. I later owned my own live band before
finishing school. Those experiences acquired, are playing a major role in
my career today. It’s been a great journey so far, doing what I love to do
and gradually transforming into a star for the world to see. I worked with great minds the
likes of Illbliss who played and is still playing a very important role in
my life after Project Fame. I have had enormous support from media houses,
friends and family, sponsors of the shows etc. My
EP titled ‘PH610’ is a way of using my craft to say thank you to everyone
that has supported me. There’s more to come in 2018.

OFF TOPIC

YOUR FAVORITE FOOD AND HANGOUT PLACE?
Hmm my favorite food is Banga Soup and pounded yam. My best colours are
brown, red, purple, any nude color. I really don’t have a favourite hangout point
but anywhere there is good Ice cream you will find me there.

ARE YOU IN A RELATIONSHIP? WHO’S YOUR IDEAL MAN?
Right now I’m focused on my first love. Relationship and love life for me
is personal, I really don’t like to mix both. I really don’t want to put a
tag on it but he should be supportive and God fearing.
