In the past twenty-four hours, I have been privileged to sneak music listen session from new artistes that will surface on the scene in the coming days. These songs will create positive disruption in the system. One of those artistes that lead the charge is Ona. Her debut song “Waka Waka“, premiered today 14th of December, is the paradigm new wave sound that will dominate the Nigerian music industry in the close of the year leading to 2019.
Born Onaedo Obiekwe in Enugu State; with a Bsc in Psychology, this graduate from Veritas University, who currently interns at CoolFM Lagos, is a bundle of talent. This lady is not one of #dem girls in the industry for the glory of fame, she’s in because the industry will be made better with her. Ona’s voice range and texture is exemplary.
