Onumaegbu Chidinma Ruth‘s dream is to walk the ramp for the top designers in the world. But while she waits for that to come to fruition, she has made her own-good luck by garnering massive eyeballs as one of the most viewed models on Instagram. As a top model influencer, event presenter, and the founder of the beauty franchise ‘Onums Beaute‘ launched on the 25th of April 2020, PrincessOnums, as she’s called, is creating her dynasty.

Although she’s standing at 5’9, with a perfectly slim body shape and the face of the super-hero actress but ironically, growing up, she got mocked and called ugly. But now she commands attention. As an ex-beauty queen and a multiple award-winner, she has defied the odds. ‘I lost my dad when I was 2years old, raised solely by my mother. I was proactive – I wanted to be a dancer but figured out I can’t dance to save my life. I took to modeling and being an event host and run with those careers.’

The quest to becoming an influential model was a tough battle. Being two inches shorter than the industry-standard height was the stumbling block. With determination and perseverance, I rose to pass it. I had confidence in my abilities – that paved the way for me. I also worked professionally as a TV presenter for African Fashion Television. I have accrued several awards, recognition & achievements in the Nigerian fashion and entertainment industry.

“As the owner of the beauty franchise called Onums Beaute, the cosmetics company is established to cater to women of all skin tones and personalities. Our product comprises 10-different types of human hair lashes and 10-different colors of matte lipstick. In the coming months, more products will be made available. My mantra is ‘if I want things done my way, I need to do it myself. That said, I am always ready to learn and evolve. I want every model out there to know that they can achieve their dreams no matter their heights and shapes.”
