Oyindamola Ameen, the publisher of Streets Legend Magazine, an industry head, and A&R, is one of the most dependable go-to-guys in the Nigerian music circle. The one-time manager of an hip-hop veteran Reminisce, who currently has music producer Krizbeatz on his book, has added film-making to his résumé. Oyindamola’s flawless to-and-fro transition from artist’s management into music video directing is a testament to how super creative he has become.

Growing up, Oyin was born in a small town in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. But despite a humble beginning, he had the mindset to do great things in the entertainment industry. According to him, I wanted to study mass communication in the university to pursue a career in the media, but my dad had a different idea. He was a renowned chartered accountant that wanted me as an heir to his accounting firm. Even though I did give in to study accounting and graduated with 2nd honors, I still had eyes for entertainment. I was involved with various entertainment activities during my school days”.

During his days as an undergraduate, he did a free internship with various radio stations in Ilorin. As a freelance writer, he was a contributing writer for a handful of media houses. In the pursuit of happiness, in 2009, he got an investment from his uncle to set up his entertainment and media company, Streets Legend Limited that focuses on magazine publication and events and artiste touring. He published for six years. In 2014, he expanded the company into a talent/PR management outfit. He had artists like Jahbless, Reminisce, Sojay, Sereki, Sean Tizzle, Emma Nyra, Rayvanny, Diamond Platnumz, and Mr. C. all in his book.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Oyindamola took a short film directing online course by New York Film School. Right now, he’s flawlessly transitioning from artist’s management into film-making. He has already done music videos for some A-list artists like Seyi Shay, Mayorkun, Skales, Harmonize, Krizbeatz, and Yemi Alade.
