Slizzy E Soar To Greater Heights With New Album “Global Citizen”
Slizzy E came out for all the marbles with the release of the 11-track album “Global Citizen”, published on 7 April 2023. With an undertone of Afro-pop and hip-hop, this album celebrates unity, love, cultural exchange, and the melodic power to connect people from all corners of the world. Songs like “Seniors” featuring AttiFaya and Dr Alaska made this Afrobeats album compelling. There’s no doubt that Slizzy E will soar to greater heights with “Global Citizen”.
Popularly known as Edo Boy, the new album showcases Slizzy E as a maverick of the music scene and his seamless ability to blend different genres of music. The album reflects his cultural assimilation and how his musical ideas transcend geographical and political borders.

Christened Slizzy Ehimen Obeto, a native of Edo State, born in Uselu, Benin City, Slizzy E has put in the work in the music industry. A Deejay-cum-performing artist, in 2003, he released the song “9ja Maga Maga”. Over the years, he has put out singles like “Lanko” featuring Malam Spicy & Black IQ, “Lanko” remix featuring Jaywon & Konga, and “Gladiator” alongside J. Martins. He has previously released three albums (Edo Boy Like Me (2010), Uselu (2019), and Light Of My City (2021). And with the new album “Global Citizen“, he’s getting more rave reviews.
“Global Citizen” is a blend of infectious beats, catchy hooks, and thought-provoking lyrics, all designed to uplift and inspire listeners. The lead single, “Jedi Jedi”, featuring American artist Jessie Woo, set the tone for a great listening experience.
