Sylvester Orji Is A Unique Fashion Stylist
Outside being talented, one other appealing factor in Nigerian showbiz is being stylishly glamorous. Sylvester Orji is one of the fashion stylists that have assisted several musicians and A-list celebrities in the other sector of the Nigerian entertainment industry to look like a million bucks every time they step out for gatherings or during work-related projects. From styling artists for music videos and photo-shoots to adding aesthetics to actors in movies, Sylvester’s House Of Vestas is one of the unique fashion styling firms in the country.
Born in the 80s, he’s a former student of the Tai Solarin University Of Education, where he studied Telecommunications and Information Technology. According to him, “My journey into the fashion styling industry started during my university days. On my way to lectures, I often get loads of compliments concerning my dress. My course-mates will ask me to give them tips on how to combine looks. Others will ask me to design for them. Those requests metamorphosed to seeing myself going for extra skill acquisition training on tailoring (fashion designing). I made outfits for them”.
In 2017, I began to major in styling. I have worked on so many editorial styling projects majorly with my team all the time because being a stylist entails the skills of other creatives to help pull together a project. I have also worked on so many music video styling, photo-shoots, and events. In the music industry, I have worked with artists like Korede Bello.
I have also assisted in styling musicians like 2Baba, Phyno, CDQ, Masterkraft, Yung6ix, and B-Red. I have styled actors like Iyabo Ojo, Sotayo, Faithia Williams, and Femi Jacobs. So far, I have enjoyed working with all the listed talents.”
