TIWA SAVAGE COULD DO NO WRONG
I guess I’m not the only one in the industry today acknowledging the fact
that the rate at which Tiwa Savage is putting in the shift on the music
front is incredible. Right about now, which other female has the record of
Tiwa for having as much chart topping songs either as her own personal
songs or as a featured artiste? I guess none. Put on the radio or tune into
your favourite music channels, the evidence is plastered all over.
Voluntarily or involuntarily, Tiwa is having everyone spellbound.
Apart from Tiwa’s rated songs like ‘Malo’ ft. Wizkid, ‘All Over’
and ‘Sugarcane’ (what a vibe), other singles she’s been featured on are all
over the music charts. To be as accurate as possible, I Googled her name in
relation to recent materials and the long list of trending songs that pop
up is impressive. ‘Diet’ by DJ Enimoney ft. Reminisce, Slimcase and Tiwa
Savage. Her spin on this song is like ice cream (sweet and yummy). Then
came her feature on Ladipoe’s ‘Are You Down’ which was such a feel good
music. DI’Ja’s ‘The Way You Are’ (Gbadun) ft. Tiwa, that combo is good for
a music menu. The chart topping Reekado Banks’ ‘Like’ ft.Tiwa speaks for
itself. B-Red’s ‘Connect’ ft. Tiwa and her feature on Sauti Sol’s ‘Girl
Next Door’ sounds like it’s made in heaven.
She has so much great content all around her. These days, everything this
First Lady of Mavin records and Roc Nation’s flag bearer touches turns to
gold. How many times over the years have we had that notion that there are
several issues limiting the ladies from working hard as much as their male
counterpart but Tiwa’s record in the last twelve months seems to have
shattered those perceptions. Mama Jam-Jam can do no wrong.
