Tosan Keke – “Goddess On-Air Cookie” On Beat 97.9FM Abuja

Tosan Vanessa Amatosero-Keke of the Beat 97.9FM Abuja is one of the most captivating voices synonymous with the evening Drive Time shows in Nigeria. Her fruity voice, appealing sense of humor, and engaging interaction, altogether make her show engrossing. Listening to her is like chewing a cookie- the sweet chocolate sensation is enjoyable. If we juxtaposed her voice with the striking shape of her body that looks like those you see in commercials and hip-hop videos, it’s not out of place to labeled Tosan “The Goddess On-air Cookie”.

According to her, “Currently, I co-host the Drive-time show from 4 pm – 9 pm. During the show, I send out positive vibrations. We churn out information from current affairs around the globe to pop culture and Nigerian music history. The drive-time show is fun, friendly, and welcoming to all. My energy and vibe are unmatched, and that makes listeners want to tap from that. Not only do I share my two cents on issues, but I also give room for listeners to share their thoughts and opinions. By doing that, we have built stronger relationships and a sort of community. When you hear Tosan is on the radio, you know its good vibes.”

She’s a native of Delta State but grew up in Lagos. Her primary education was at Christ The Cornerstone (CTC) International, and her secondary education was at D-Ivy College and Supreme Education Foundation (SEF) Schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing acquired at Covenant University in Ogun State. In her words, I can say I was born in Lagos and bred in Abuja as I moved here for my youth service, then that was when life hit. I worked in management and finance for an entertainment company before landing my first shot on a mic at Beat FM Abuja. Thus far, it has been a journey where I have learned a lot about myself. And also, my listeners are breathtaking. You guys are the best.

Outside my radio gig, I love anything luxurious. I love traveling, exploring, shopping, dancing, listening to music, interior design, fashion. I run @essencebyquest on #Instagram where we sell luxury Swiss lace, Aso-Oke, and Aso-Ebi. As the creative lead, I also run an interior company.
