December 2004, the event tagged ‘Water Slam’ organized by GML (veteran DJ and OAP) was a gathering of the creme-da-la-crème performing artists of that year. D’banj was there to deliver his steaming hot “Tongolo” where he also premiered the video. Ruggedman also brought down the roof. 2Shotz was on stage with Victor who’s now one of the best Newscasters at the Beat999FM. Ronkay (Top Executive at Afro-pop Channel) also performed. Lord of Ajasa, ZIP, Asha Gangali, Lexzy Doo, Jahbourn, DJ Lockshy, DJ Tee and Joke Jaiyesimi all attended the event held at Airport Hotel at Ikeja. Covering the event was fun for me.
