NOMORELOSS YOU MADE US SMILE
This image of yours is all about who you really are. You have always made us smile.
This is how you have made us feel in the Nigerian Music industry for the last decade. This is how you will remain in my head.
From your time at the group Harmony, to when you started your solo career with the hit song ‘Ki Lo de'( I remember that video with Lexy Doo and Ruggedman). That song was like the first time we saw the infusion of R&B and Highlife music(Classic).
Your song ‘Iya Wo Asiko'(remake of Olanwo’s Iya Wo Olele) took the industry unaware despite the fact that Paul Play’s ‘Mo so ri re’ was burning the airwaves. Your rendition of that song proved your understanding of the Nigerian music. You were made for it.
I Will also not forget your skit ‘Why you still dey rap like Mumu’ in Ruggedman’s hit single. From that moment onward, you blessed us with several hit single including my favourite that goes like this ‘All the time, I can’t get you off my mind’. Can’t remember the title of that song. It a classic.
You also started your weekly Nomoreloss live event where several upcoming artistes and comedian connected to a lively audience. To me, you dedicated yourself to make us all smile and at this moment, despite the fact that you have left us for a better place, I choose not to be sad but continue to smile and be happy in memory of all the time you made us laugh. RIP My friend.
