The fact that models are instrumental to the bottom line of most companies in the world is one of the motivating factor for the surge in the modeling profession. “My journey as a model started when I gained admission into the university of Benin, I am presently in my 300level in the department of mathematics. I always wanted to be a runway model so I sought out the help of Grace akunibi who linked me up with an agency (Afro Reaction) where I was trained and from there, I went on to walk for my first fashion show (fashion Ferrari).
Walking down memory lane, I have walked for shows in and outside Benin City. Shows like Fashion Junkie The Black Mask, Edo State Fashion And Design Week just to mention a few. I joined HOK model management after modeling for FASHION JUNKIE organized by the planning team of HOK. I felt a connection with the agency. They are my family. After the show, I was given an award as the Next Top Model. I was so surprised but I knew I deserved it.
I hope one day I’d be the next top model in the world, I hope to work for next year’s Lagos Fashion Week, London fashion Week, GT Fashion Week and all the other top fashion shows. 2019 will transform into a great year in my modeling career. I also dream to model for top companies like Dolce and Gabbana, Yomi Casual, Mudi Africa, Folake Folarin, Zizi Cardow, Addidas to name a few; I know my agency (HOK) would be able to get me there. My journey as a model hasn’t been a smooth one but very interesting. I won’t trade anything for it” – Rhema
