Amber Heard – Airport Staff Testifies About Amber’s Altercation With Her ‘Traveling Companion
Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continue to make breaking news as their ongoing litigation approaches closing arguments on Friday at the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
Beverly R. Leonard, who worked at the airport in the baggage claim area, testified that she met Heard in 2009. She saw Heard with a “traveling companion” when they got into an “altercation.” She said Heard had “grabbed her traveling companion and pulled something from her neck.” She said that she called in a colleague to assist her and stepped in between them and broke up the fight.
She described Heard’s behavior as “aggressive.” She said that Heard’s eyes were “blurry” and “watery” and “I could smell alcohol.”
When asked about any injuries from the fight, she said that Heard’s traveling companion had “rope burn” from the side of her neck where Heard had “removed” it. She said she became aware of the trial after she received an anonymous email.
Elaine Bredehoft, Heard’s attorney, pointed out that the incident happened 13 years ago and accused Leonard of only participating in the trial after she found out that it was going to be on television. She said that she reached out and contacted Depp’s legal team last night.
After Leonard testified, Judge Penney Azcarate called it for the day. Depp’s legal team reportedly only has one more witness to call to the stand. On Thursday, Heard’s legal team will be able to present more witnesses as per their countersuit. Closing arguments are still on track for Friday, at which point the trial will be handed over to the jury
