Doja Cat has been officially announced to be the host of the 2021 MTV VMAs. In addition to performing and hosting, Doja Cat is nominated five times, including two of the night’s highest honors, “Video of the Year” and “Artist of the Year.

Justin Bieber leads this year’s nominations with seven, Megan Thee Stallion followers with six, and Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo have five nominations each. The 2021 VMAs will air live from Barclays Center. They will feature the solo debut of Chloe and additional performances from Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, LORDE, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Chlöe, Shawn Mendes, and Twenty One Pilots.
