Intriguingly, each piece of her artistic illustrations and paintings are more beautiful than her looks – She’s gorgeous. Her demand for faultless esthetic and quest for perfection are enviable. Daily working to make a statement – her principles is that, true art is not just to portray, but also to evoke. Mimidoo Kwembe is one of the young visual arts queens painting a rosy picture of the future of Nigeria.
“I am 20years of age, a student studying visual and creative arts at federal University Lafia Nasarawa state. My state of origin is Benue- Tiv precisely. I’m the ninth child with four elder brothers and four elder sisters, and that makes me the last-born of the family.
I started my paintings as a 17years old in 2015 after my WAEC examination a few months before I got admission to study arts. I love to paint and draw and it has been my strength since then till now. More so, I had my first painting done at Keffi in Nasarawa state, after which I proceeded to Makurdi in Benue state. Other places where you can find my works are, Jabi Lake mall Abuja, Lugbe shoprite Abuja, Kogi state, Lagos state, Ogun state, e.t.c
What kind of paintings can I do? Some may want to ask.
I do mostly murals (paintings done on the wall) e. g graffiti, interior designs, office makeovers, room designs, schools and even commercial places like shops. Other paintings I can do are car branding, shoes, clothes” – Kwembe Mimidoo
