Shanty Town, released on 20 January 2023, tops Nigeria’s most trending TV Series on Netflix. Being the first original Netflix project of 2023, the acting, cinematography, and story-line are compelling.

Directed by Dimeji Ajibola, the casts like Richard Mofe-Damijo, Ini Edo, Chidi Mokeme, Nse Ekpe-Etim, Shola Shobowale, Shaffy Bello, Ali Nuhu, Uche Jombo, Zubby Michael, Nancy Isime, Yaw Naija, Omowunmi Dada, Mercy Eke, Shola Sobowale, Regina Daniels, Judith Audu and Peter Okoye, were all incredible.

Chidi Mokeme’s role as SCAR in the movie is one of the highs. The amount of expertise that went into filming each scene was noticeable. So much to love about the lighting. Shaffy Bello’s role in Scar’s kidnapped part of the series is flawless. Shanty Town is a massive testament to how far Nollywood has grown and how golden the veteran actors are.
