Ahmed Green Releases A Groovy Song “Oruko Jesu” Featuring TY Bello

Ahmed Green has come out with all guns blazing with a groovy-tuneful song to mark his mainstream debut as a contemporary gospel artist with the release of “Oruko Jesu” featuring the multi-talented photographer-cum-performing artist TY Bello. Released on October 1, this is a rhythmic sing-along praise melody that will make anyone dance all day long. This song also came in handy with a music video and a twelve-track EP titled “Exodus“, due to be released in a week and marketed/distributed by the world-famous T-Joe Distribution Company.

Christened Oladipupo Chukwualuka Ibrahim, born into a multi-religious / multi-ethnic peaceful family, Ahmed grew up in the Surulere mainland vicinity in Lagos. According to him, “I was the usual radio-loving kid that listened to all kinds of music in the late 70s, 80s, and 90s. I pique interest in music as a hobby trying to impress a girl in the 90s and ended up loving the idea of creating tunes, as it was the only thing I had a total of as a teen in those years. I had so many fun memories of those early formative years.

Back then, I would imagine and compose tunes in my head and dream of someday hearing my ideas on the radio. On the other hand, I also dreamed of becoming a composer. Knowing how to operate Fruity loops, I also had a dream to become a music producer someday. I met this group of young guys that wanted to grow a choir and felt they might need a music producer only to find myself in their routine voice training lessons. I became a better vocalist with them. Through friends, I went for several open mic sessions and made some extra bucks. I also made some demo tapes.

I gave my life to Christ in my late twenties. I began to advocate by dishing out his message through worship, dance, and prayers. I originally recorded the song “Oruko Jesu” in 2020; I featured TY Bello on it for its officially released this October 2021. I am a signee on MastaPlan Records, co-owned by Ikemefuna Moses and Andrew Peters. “Oruko Jesu” is the lead single off the EP called Exodus. My life experiences with God inspired all the songs on this project. I want people to take and apply them to their lives. I hope my songs possibly speak to everyone.”
